Mr. Fabiano's practice focuses on business and intellectual property litigation in federal and state courts.

   

Mike Fabiano has been with Mazzarella Caldarelli LLP since 2002 and has been a partner since January 2006. Mr. Fabiano represents clients including companies in the Fortune 100 and other prominent and successful businesses of all sizes, in matters ranging from complex business, patent, trademark, and trade secret disputes, to the representation of businesses in litigation relating to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and related state laws.

Mr. Fabiano is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the State Bar of California. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and all U.S. District Courts in California.

Before joining Mazzarella Caldarelli LLP, Mr. Fabiano practiced business and intellectual property litigation at prominent national law firms. In 1993-1994, Mr. Fabiano served as a law clerk to United States District Judge Linda H. McLaughlin, Central District of California.

Mr. Fabiano received his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 1993, where he also served as an Associate Note Editor of the Hastings Law Journal and was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Thurston Society.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Fabiano worked as a research chemist, and is a co-inventor of a patented process for the recovery of a precious metal (U.S. Patent No. 5,654,458). Mr. Fabiano also earned a M.S. degree in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1988, and a B.A. degree in chemistry and chemical physics from Rice University, in 1986.

Mr. Fabiano is a member of the Executive Committee of the Litigation Section of the State Bar of California, currently serving as its Treasurer, and he has chaired the Litigation Section’s annual Trial Symposium. He is also one of the editors-in-chief of California Litigation Review. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and a member of the Editorial Board of the AIPLA Quarterly Journal. Mr. Fabiano has written and spoken on various topics, including litigation, technology, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
